and they said that they offer rebuild kits for a TD04 for about 150, but this may not be DIY due to balancing..it would cost somewhere in the range of 2-400 for a rebuild depending on exactly what needs to be done, so buying a used TD04 sounds more like a crapshoot...so another option would be to build the T25 (and apologies, some of these terms are foreign to me) on the compressor side and turbine side to T28 specs, which would be more powerful than the TD04 and run cooler for around 450...so IMO, this sounds like it may be the way to go...thoughts? if it is infact running cooler, i wonder if i would be able to get away with my stock intercooler (two-pass) versus the cross-flow viggen intercooler??...hmm..
only downside sounds like i would be out of a car while the turbo was out for around a week or so...guy at turbonetics says that he is building a lot of these for mitsubishi eclipse and they are good for around 270hp at the wheels..
any downsides/considerations here that i am missing?
input appreciated as always..
eric
