Hooligan,
I had a '85 900T and slightly modified it. I talked to the folks at SD and SPG9 and wound up using SPG9 Stage 1 (only stage available for MY85 - also only compatible with MY85 cars), K&N filter, 24lb injectors, and a 3.0 BAR fuel pressure regulator.
I had to turn up the overpressure switch (under dash in front of driver's knees) to avoid fuel pressure cut-off. I told the guys at SD and SPG9 that I was looking to get a reliable 200HP and they agreed that this setup would likely get me close.
The car was much more powerful over stock. Wheelspin in 2nd and occasionally 3rd gear was possible. I upgraded the car when it had approximately 235K miles on it. The tranny started to whine at 250K miles and essentially became undriveable at 285K miles when the car was parted and sold.
Had I kept the car, water injection would have been my next addition as I recall the boost bouncing back under prolonged acceleration.
Good luck!!!
-Ludwig
