If you're going to do one of these yourself the filter to use is a K&N RU 2820. It's 3" and clamps to the larger portion of the AMM, the small 2 3/4" part of the AMM doesn't have enough depth to clamp down against. You should add a support bracket from two of the old filter housing mounting studs to an 8mm hole you punch in the center of the new K&N. I did the ones for SPG9 when they were still in business and got carried away by adding an 8mm ID x 13mm OD bushing in a 1/2" gasket punched hole. The bushing was 1/2mm shorter than the thickness of the rubber so the bolt would have something to tighten down against and not just keep compressing the rubber until it became loose. We're reinventing the wheel on these C-900T air inlet kits by going to a large oval K&N to get it out of the intercooler air with an aluminum piece that directs the hot air down and out of the bottom of the engine compartment. It will be compatible with our upcoming aluminum air box that will draw in cooler air from the outside of the inner fender well much like the stock snorkel but a much larger volume. It will clear the ABS brake unit in the '90 up cars and will be compatible with Brad's awesome intercooler fan. Dave at Lesco
