Clutch Slip Cured By Boost Controller? (long)

Clutch slippage has been a long time problem for me on my modified SPG. Though I have not yet upgraded to the 9K clutch, I did upgrade to the 91+ 900 flywheel and clutch set up. This seemed to help a little, but I was still getting significant clutch slippage in 2nd - 5th gears under boost (20+ psi).
After installing the dual stage boost controller and driving around town on the limited boost of 12 psi for normal driving, it appears that even when I decide to run full boost the clutch can now hold it. I've turned the second stage switch up to about 22 psi, and when I hit the switch, the car takes off instead of the clutch allowing the engine to rev before it grabs.
Is my theory correct that by giving the clutch a rest from running super boost all the time that it can handle the super boost when called upon to do so, albeit less frequently?
The two main reasons I installed this item was to limit wheelspin in 1st - 3rd gears on launch, and to have more definitive control over my maximum boost pressure. Curing clutch slip is a bonus!
Again, I could not be happier with my results from this project, so far.
