I am highly disappointed with my 1996 900 SE, it is not as fast as I had hoped it would be. It comes with 185 horsepower I think, and it is turbocharged, the mileage is in the 70,000s... it has never been in a wreck, it is fully loaded with a moonroof, six-disc CD changer, wood grain & leather, heated seats, 'black panel' option, 5-speed manual transmission, automatic everything including adjustable power front seats, its a 2-door coupe, not the convertible. I love the car for its luxury, for its Swedish amenities that set it apart from my friends' Mustangs and Altimas, and my little sisters' 1999 ES 300 and my older sisters' 2002 Cadillac Seville.

Of course the two of them would argue that their cars are way smoother, faster, luxurious, and stylish than my Saab, but I am not about to hear that. I love my car, I just want more from it. After all my parents paid cash for it brand new when I turned 16 (1996). I have heard that it is possible to adjust the turbo output on these models? Is this true? Can I crank the turbocharger up to optimize and max out the performance and use all 185 horses underneath the hood? Also what kind of tires do you recommend for this model Saab? I have Pirelli tires on it right now, nice ones...so anybody who owns one of these or has owned one or works on them if you have any answers to my questions or comments about my observations please feel free to write. My e-mail is shiggymoto@aol.com. Thanks again.
