Removing coolant and/or water after flushing.
The block drains quite well. The heater core, heater hoses and the horizontal rad tubes, as well as the rad tank ends hold most of the fluid that does not drain out. You can get almost all of that with a shop vac. Use at the lower rad hose barb and remove the two heater hoses and do them. If the original clamps are OEM gear clamps, for the smaller heater hose, replace with a narrow all stainless clamp from the hardware store. Put a strip of ductape folded over on it self between the clamp and the hose to stop rubber from extruding through the new clamp's gear slits. The OEM gear clamps have a rigid gear section that is simply not curved enough for small diameter hoses. These are prone to leaking and the original clamps, one remove and reused on small hoses can be big leakers.
On the NG900 BB, find my cooling system posts by searching for drs<underscore>install. In a couple of the later posts, I decribe a zero spill method of removing coolant.
