They seem to work great for some folks.
What do you propose for an alternative that is easy to get, does not produce dust and wear the rotors badly as the current OEM pads do?
I will review the links that you provided later.
I don't know what the greenstuff v1,v2,v3 pads were like, and I have the latest, which I believe is V4. As these composition changes were product improvements the earlier versions are probably not as good as the current. Perhaps some of the complaints that can be found are related to issues with the earlier compositions.
What version of EBCs did you run in your MB and was your style of driving of that MB extreme?
I found that EBC GS pads, new rotors, in my 95SET would not stop very well until I got them 'burned in'*. But the EBC GS on the Aero did not display a lack of stopping power when new. The brakes on the 95SET were perhaps a marginal design, they made them bigger in 1997. And the Aero has big brakes so maybe such a difference was overwhelmed, or the 162 miles on the rotors with OEM pads conditioned the rotors to be more effective than new rotors.
* after that the braking was very strong, and felt stronger than the stock system ever did.
95SET(rip) EBC
03 Aero Wagon EBC since mile 162.
