The idea behind taking the back seat out is to reduce your engines pulling weight. I'm sure to most of you who drive with no back seat have noticed the difference.
while a rollcage is a great safty feature to have (if you plan on flipping your car!!). It does not really reduce any weight.
I would not recomend a roll cage unless you are going to be track-racing the car for competitive sport. skip the roll cage and get some nice seats and 3-point belt harness.
I had a "weight reduced" one seat 900T a while ago with NO:back seat, passenger seat, carpet, door panels, headliner, or lower dash. It was a lot more nimble to handel and faster on acceleration.
