Boost gauge install

I have an Autometer boost/vacuum gauge i'm anxiously waiting to install, but i'm kind of flustered because the hose they provide with it is 1/8" and I can't find a hose barb adapter small enough for it to fit over. that is, where it would plug into the brass "T" that's spliced into the hose from the MAP sensor. any other options? do you have to heat it and strech it wider so it will fit? the adapter I have is also 1/8" inside diameter, but the outside is much too wide for the supplied hose to fit over.
