Depends all on how tightly your shocks are controlling things, I guess. I am running a stock rear bar on my Koni-equipped 900T and it rains 210 days a year on average here in The Netherlands. The rear bar cuts down on understeer, but the overall balance of the car is still very much on the 'solid/dependable'side of things (might have to do with the weighty steering on this particular example, though). I would say with stiff springs (Merwede racing springs in my case) it's a safer set up than running both torsion bars, though, as putting sway bars on an axle will decrease the amount of lateral grip and with all that weight on the front as well as 150-300 horsepower to be unleashed via the front wheels, you don't want that happening on the front. The front really needs all the help it can get to prevent it from plowing straight on when the going gets slippery or when grunt overcomes grip... The rear axle, running the same tires as the front, will only break away with extreme weight transfer issues on braking/lifting the throttle: i.e. soft suspension, lots of weight in the overhangs... Just putting a sway bar on the rear is not enough to disturb a stable car, but it -can- wreak havoc with an unsorted chassis. When I first had the torsion bar and 16"Aero's I would get lots of understeer followed by quite noticeable lift-off oversteer. It turned out two of my Koni's were leaking -one at the front and one at the rear...
