I assume that you have a T5 ECU with a red DI. Just install the MBC. Increase boost until you get fuel cuts then back off the pressure until you don't. If you have a guage you will do exactly the same thing and end up at the same point. You don't need a boost guage, but they are nice to have just the same.
The T5 fuel cuts feel disturbing but are harmless. These reset instantly and do not cause CELs. Use premium fuel and do what you can to reduce intake and exhaust restrictions. This advise is standard practice when increasing boost. If you hear any knocking, there are problems which will need to be resolved, reduce the boost and attend to that.
I expect that your gap spec is .039". I suggest .035", which is the current spec. The .039" spec was stupid as the gap can only increase and the .9mm -.2 +.1 spec was insane. Gap to .035 and let the gap erode to and thru .039 for the longest in-gap service life between re-gappings.
