guys at viking saab installed the viggen clutch on my 96 900SET, and it was a direct bolt on...from what i understand, the pressure plate has a greater power, but the disk is the same as the stock clutch (you can see a big difference between the pressure plates side by side)...the clutch is holding great with speedparts stg2 and viggen IC...

someone had suggested earlier that since the disk was the weakest component in this setup, that perhaps the optimal setup is a modified/resurfaced clutch disk being used with the viggen pressure plate. i spoke with brad at kcsaab, and he explained that the stock disk just can't hang when it gets hot, i ended up just sticking with the stock disk, but just a thought, if you have the time, and can find the right resource, maybe have the disk modified? kevlar or other substance? (not sure here)....

since i have the cable clutch setup, there was a concern about the increased tension on the cable due to the uprated pressure plate, but things have been ok...i have always had problems with my cable clutch...maybe one day i will try to go for the hydraulic conversion, but it is beyond my DIY talent, and costs $$$$.

if you are replacing the clutch, definitely go for the viggen clutch, why not?
