but I have a turtle.(j/k)
No but seriously, I dont have a cat on my full JT and I like it, I am looking at upgrading my ECU right now, and Maptun quotes a 12 hp difference when comparing their stage 3 system with or without a cat. Now I dont think i am seeing 12hp extra right now but I do think I am seeing a bit more than I would if I did have one on there. As far as noise goes, I think it is a little more pronounced of a tone when running without a cat, but I dont really know since I can't seem to get the joint at the end of the downpipe to ever seal, so I have had an exhaust leak ever since installing the system 6 months ago. I hope this helps. I would say go without and if you feel guilty for the pollution you are causing to the environment or if its too loud, then buy the cat, but otherwise save 100 bucks and go without.
