but i would not pay $5 a quart, even for refined motor oil. The diff between 5w-30 and 10w-30 is the Viscosity. 5w is a lighter oil than 10w which will help the crank shaft move more freely during cold-starts, but once that oil gets hotter it will increase the risk of component failure becuase it does not have the same lubrication properties as 10w. It really willnot make a big difference at first, but if you drive hard and only change oil every 3,000 (as OEM say to do) than you might be hurting your engine. so unless its really cold all the time where you live stick with 10W. I use full-synth valvoline 10W-30.
