On my SPG I removed all those parts just for convenience.
Like Vince said, you do need to disassemble the shifter/console which is easiest w/ one of the seats out. After removing the center console you will see the ignition assy and the 3 "star" nuts (two up front, one behind). I also use a home-made slotted socket, I think mine was 11mm though. Once those are out you rotate the assy 90 degrees to access the bottom; that's where all these parts are. Take 'em out and you are on your way. FYI the weight savings was only .5 pound. :(
