I think you know that the engine had some significant flaws after I installed and started it in December: .039" gap for compression rings!! and an improperly installed copper head gasket. Engine went back to PAECO for correction. Fortunately, the guy who built it worked on the side to get it right (we'll see)and WE finished it up yesterday. Man, the impression I get from this place is that the owner flat out doesn't give a s__t. Place is disorganized, dirty, and crap laying all over. Just where you want a hi-po engine built....NOT. Anyway, the builder (not Karl the owner) were chatting about the alum. flywheel and mentioned how the dowel pins never came with the flywheel orignally and that I had to order some. He thought I was talking about something else, looked at the flywheel and noticed that there were no set screws to keep the flywheel and ring gear from separating. Great quality control.

With the correct compression rings, SWAIN coated pistons (I sent pistons back out, since the Bulls__t "ceramic coating" Karl puts on was coming off), Swedish Dynamic copper head gasket, O-ringed the block [MUCH thanks to DAVE @ SPG9 for loaning me the Isky tool to accomplish this task.....THANKS BIG TIME, DAVE], and put it together. Bizzare experience.

All I have to do is get the tranny mated up to the motor and put it all back together.

There's probably more, but I'm so fried with having to deal with all of it that I probably put it all in the Recycling Bin for now.
