Here's the deal: Just installed SQR stage 4 ECU on my '94 Aero along with full JT 3" exhaust and JR filter. Am currently running one of the "heavy duty" BOV's that Swedish Dynamics are selling as O.E.M. for the 930/911 turbo's. I'm pretty sure this can't handle the increase in boost (like I didn't see that coming), as I'm getting a really wierd chirping sound when I boost into/out of upper red on the stock guage. Sounds like I've got a rabid chipmunk running around where my airbox once was. By-pass valve stuttering under load?
Question #2: I'm a little paranoid to do the 4 adaptation runs that Bo Engstrom reccomends. Every time I try to do one, I blow off a vacuum line. Last time I blew off the one to the MAP sensor, lost my boost and triggered the check engine light. Was able to reset by disconnecting battery momentarily. I also got some disturbing detonation (sounded like out the exhaust during one of the early attempts. Not a happy sound. I'm attempting these at WOT in fourth at 2000 RPM's up to 3500 on a slight upgrade, and the boost guage is pegging (SCARY!) off the scale. Normal? I'm able to hold it for 4 seconds no prob, but I've yet to complete 4 runs and wonder just how necessary IS this and am I going to blow my cookies all over Vt trying it. Car is INCREDIBLY fast when I drive it in a more sane fashion. Will ECU adapt by itself in time? I can secure the hoses no problem, I just wonder if it's a sign to try a new approach. All/any advice appreciated. Looks like it's time to shell out some more $$$ for a Forge BOV.

Thanks

Erik K
