timing or fuel or both? (kind Long)

Hello,
I just recently removed my egr system form my 1990 SPG and replaced the ecu with a 948 unit.
I finally got a few hours to drive the car around, and here is my set-up.
base boost at 6lbs.
3.0 fpr
self modified APC
timing at 20 degrees
Alittle bog in first gear
second, third four pull great
fifth on the freeway is a treat half red or on VDO about fifteen lbs
BUT- I can feel the car just reach a point where it pulls hard, and then kind of flattens out. mostly in third gear. So, I was thinking of first-
Change timing to 16, 17, 18 or 19 degrees and see what the results are
second-send out dist. to brad for his mod.
third-waiting on rrfpr (from someone who's name I won't mention) maybe I am just running out of fuel or timing or both. Any suggestions or comments would be greatly appreciated. BobJ, I you read this, I still have your phone number and plan on calling you when I get the rrfpr in hand.
thanks,
Kevin O
