imo, the fmic in the pics you link to has an ineffectual endtank design; if you're going to introduce the charge to the core from a parallel direction, you want to use an endtank shaped like an opening "v" that diffuses the air. as it is now, much of the air is going to be forced through a small section of the core (which appears to be positioned behind the bumper).
before you decide on a 'cooler, you might want to pick up Corky Bell's Maximum Boost & read the chapter on i.c. design; note especially the graphs that depict distribution of air flow through a core for various endtank designs. (ignore his arrogant, b#llsh#t comments about h20 injection & various other issues. it's a useful book, but is marred by his opinionated asides and somewhat off-putting tone in places.)
