Gary, I believe GT turbos have more options than we probably realize. YOu got the GT30 with external wastegate. I'm pretty sure you could use the same center section and turbine wheel in a housing that has internal wastegate. Not that it's better, but that layout might be easier and cheaper for people to bolt on. I'd like to find a ball bearing center section with housings that would be a true bolt-on. Saabs use mitsu and garrett turbos so there must be a parts combo out there. Even with same backpressure of stock downpipe, bb or regular GT turbo would still run much better. Don't forget, they have better efficiency on both the turbine wheel and compressor side, as adam said. I'm pretty sure turbonetics puts their single ball bearing on the compressor side.
