yes, it is interesting, other stuff that I have found:
Toluene and xylene are already in your fuel, and in higher concentrations in europe in general than in the US. So your catalytic converter will be business as usual.
false: toluene is hot and will burn your valves
false: alchohols carry oxygen and promote hotter more complete combustion
- alchohols do enhance octane but have around 1/2 the combustion
energy. the oxygen in alchohol has already been 'burnt' and is
not free oxygen. A 10% ethanol gasoline will cost you -5% in
mpg's, so the cost is 5% higher than you think.
false: toluene will create a lean burn
- toluene is a denser fuel and will make for a richer mix with a
carb and have no effect with an O2 sensor feedback system
false: tolune is very toxic
- you need to take care with it, but in general, the same care
that you should take handling gasoline
