I promised I would review this valve when I got it before I drove to Viggen Flight Academy on Friday.

I got the valve and installed it on my 2000 Viggen this afternoon. It really only took a few minutes to install. All you need is a strong/large pair of plyers and a 10mm socket with extension and of course a ratchet. I had been dealing with Abbott Racing and Abbott America for a while and so I got a special piece for my install. Usually you are supposed to cap the return to intake pipe, but I got a piece that fits in the intake hole if you remove the pipe. It is literally a metal plug that fits perfectly and uses the factory clamp to seal in place. This was a piece I think should be a part of the kit and it may now be. The only problem with the kit is the vacuum line from the factory. It is a little short. It can be used, but requires so work to switch some clips around. I wish they would have supplied a new line.

The noise was very cool and since I noticed that there is a piece in the valve to keep it closed during vacuum, you will not need to worry about injesting dirt. I was very concerned about this... 2000 Viggen.. duh. It is a dual spring design. The power was not really any better, but by design, you can tell that the turbo stays spooled longer during shifts (ala boost gauge) and it had a better throttle response. I am really not a seat-of-my-pants driver so I may be wrong about the power gain. I think it really cleaned up my engine bay and sounds so sick. I noticed a lot of looks as I raced around today. Many people may think it is too loud, but it could be louder and make me even happier.

I got mine for $180 with the piece and opted for Airborne Express shipping for about $18 extra. I did not see any open-air forge at stratmosphere.com so I went with Abbott. E-mail me if you have any questions. I will try to answer them. I will put some pics up later if I figure it out.
