Hi,

The correct answer is probably better in dry conditions and a bit worse in the rain and not as good in the snow. It all depends on the tires, car conditions and horsepower. Wider tires get worse milage most of the time but better perfomance. Look up aspect ratio at tire rack. Tire Height VRS width also check out speed ratings.Many new ultra high all season tires perfomance are better than older Summer ultra performance tires. Go to http://www.tirerack.com/ call these guys they are great. I bout 7 sets of tires from them over the years they will tell you what works best and the have great deals with out tax.
