transmission. The NG900 has much taller gears, and with my '97, a 2.0 just like the C900, it has much more on the top end.
I've always felt that the C900 could have benefited from more transmission upgrades -- not just with the strength issues, but with the ratio's. I've had my '97 to 135mph and it felt solid as a rock, and not buzzing at all. Top speed is supposedly 150 and I believe it. The classic OTOH runs out of breath at about 125 - 130mph. If the gears were just a bit taller....
Still love the classics though. Always will.
