Saabsavior SS Cat-back Exhaust question.. help quick!

Hi everyone,
Tonight I finally got a chance to go over to my girlfriend's place where my new Saabsavior C900 cat-back exhaust was delivered to. I eagerly unwrapped everything and it's pretty damn nice. He even included a nice stainless steel oval tip that I hadn't expected.
Has anyone else gotten this kit? If so, what's the procedure on having the center pipe attatch to the OEM catalytic converter flange? I would just call him but he's not open on saturdays according to his site and I am hoping to install this weekend.
I thought he said that there was an adapter, but i didn't see anything. The only thing I can think of is that the OEM center pipe must be cut right after the catalyic converter (keeping the oem center pipe's flange) and then the new center pipe must be slid over and clamped down. I'm not sure if there will be a big gap since the new pipe is 2.5" and the OEM center pipe is 2.25". A friend told me that an exhaust shop could install this and then stretch the oem pipe the match up and weld the flange right on (or clamp it.. either way). I'm just concerned with a gap problem.
Or is there really an adapter that somehow is missing from my order?
Thanks for any help you all can give! This is the first time i'm dealing with an aftermarket exhaust system for my 86 SPG.
