If you're using the belts for auto-x and haven't bought anything yet, you can use Schroth harnesses. They make a 3pt y-harness belt that mounts to the stock mounting points for the lap belt, as well as the shoulder belt for the rear seat passenger. I had one a few years ago before I went to Mod cars & it made a huge difference keeping me in the seat, plus it's less of a hassle than latch-link or quick-release real racing belts- it uses a pushbutton release just like a street belt. The also make a version with a lockable ratchet so you can use it on the street as well. This would also be much easier than fabbing up a harness bar. Either way, make sure you don't mount the shoulder straps too low, you don't want the belts wrapping around your shoulders. I've seen some people use rear lap belt mounts to anchor their shoulder straps- can give you spinal injuries if you actually crash.
