Mass-produced turbocharged engines do not require a turbo timer; water-cooled turbos do not get hot enough for coking to occur. Even older cars that were equipped with oil-cooled turbos don't require them; simply drive the car sedately for a few minutes after pushing it and you're done.
Countless turbocharged cars that are *well* into 6-digit mileage are on the road today with the original turbo, e.g., Saab, Volvo, Mercedes (and a kazillion trucks). Had the engineers who designed these cars' powerplants determined that a turbo timer was necessary, surely they would have included one. Also keep in mind that passenger car turbocharging know-how, at least as far as the above three marques are concerned, came from truck manufacturing experience; diesels have been turbo'd for years & years.
As an example of particular relevance, consider Saabnet's High Mileage Saab page and, specifically, the Saab 900 with most on its clock: Peter Gilbert's '89 SPG. Though it's currenly listed as having under 800K, the below link confirms that that number is outdated: the car passed the 800K mark months ago. Further, it did so by mixing, compressing and burning fuel with air forced into its motor courtesy of, yup, the *original* turbocharger.
If you want to keep your Saab for a good, long time, follow its maintenance schedule faithfully.
