There are two lines on the cutout switch. If you want to remove them, remove both and splice together so the line runs directly from engine to boost gage. IT might be easier to short the two wires together at the passenger side footwell. You pull the heater duct down and look for two white/brown wires. That's the same two that run to the cutout.
