I had occasion to put my car up on ramps this weekend (installed NGK BCPR7 plugs, gapped at .040 with no noticable improvement in performance), so I just crawled under it for a long look. Noticed where the intake begins and it looks VERY constricting compared to the 2" or 2.5" tubing that leads into the box with the filter. Is this right? If so, I would think the 3" PVC modification (I've seen REM in Seatle post pics of this) would be a big improvement. I've also heard from others that the OEM intake has been drastically improved for the 2000 9-3, but from what I've seen the OEM set-up looks awfully constricting.
Thoughts?
