Downpipe Question NG900.. what to do???

Ok, I had a 3in downpipe on my car last year and it was great. unfortunately it broke at the flex pipe and I found that the cost to fix it did not justify the value and figured I would just buy a new one. anyway, has anyone had much luck with a custom build?? If so I am looking to see what it should cost to do the job. Also, what will the difference be between a 3in and a 2.5in if it is bent correctly? I was thinking that it may make sense to have a shop modify the one that is currently on the car (stock) and just make the bends flow a bit better. Any thoughts? Please let me know what you think.
Thanks.
Chris.
