Manual boost control

I just fitted a MBC to a 96 CS LPT.
I used a grainger valve arrangement and couldn't be happier, except for the high delivery charge from McMaster's to Australia (US$40 delivery for US$26 worth of bits, enough to make two). Next time I will be prepared to wait for sea delivery.
Before I did the install, I cheaked base boost and got a max of 5 psi with a quick taper off to 3-4 psi. After a couple of adjustments, (burnt hands included) I ended up with a setting that was half a turn back from the one overboost cutoff I experienced. This setting gives me a max of about 8-9 psi with a taper to a solid 7 psi.
The effect is excellant. Spool up is sooner and stronger and the power delivery is very smooth. If the license remains intact I will be both thrilled and surprised.
Took about an hour to build and install, best AUS$50 I every spent!
Thanks Dean for all your postings!
