This can be a confusing topic. From what I've gathered, the older saabs (like my 85) had the valve installed one way. The newer saabs have the valve installed the opposite way, hence "backwards," but it's really not backwards for them because that's how they came from the factory.
The valve in the picture was installed with the bottom port (the one facing the brass disk) attached to the hose coming from the throttle body. Is that the orientation you're recommending?
Assuming that the vacuum line attaches to the nipple at the "top" of the valve, do you recommend the pressure hose be attached to the bottom or the side?
The valve lasted less than a year. It served me well until I increased my boost to the 18-20psi range. Is this part seriously supposed to last under those conditions? It seems like a lot of people experience similar failures.
