This post is for those, who absolutely want a BOV on their T7 cars.
If you do it this way the car wont stumble between gear shifts or have a bad idle. I do not advice to run the car on a permanent this way, but for special events it should be fine. Read the whole post if you want to learn more about the T7 system.

There is also a MAP in T7 cars. The commom agreement seems to be that the MAP is there only to watch out that max pressure level is not exceeded. This is not true. Here is why

The engine load or mass air flow/ combustion calculated from the mass air folw sensor value, can during rapid load changes, figger from the actual air mass drawn into the cylinder during the intake stroke. The reason for this is the inertia of the large volume of air in the intake manifold. During load changes therefore, the intake pressure is used to correct the mass air flow/combustion which is used for basic calculation of the fuel quantity. So it should not matter if there is a BOV cause the MAP is used anyway. Even though the T7 is a air mass priciple system, it will also work as a speed density system if the MAF is not working. Here are few fault codes caused by MAF.

If the mass air flow sensor does not send any frequency at all to the ECU, diagnostic trouble code P0100 will be generated. The cause may be a break in one of the leads.

If the frequency is too low, trouble code P0102 will be generated. The cause may be a major leak between the mass air flow sensor and the throttle body or an internal fault in the mass air flow sensor.
A major leak would be a BOV right

If the frequency is too high, trouble code P0103 will be generated. The cause is an internal fault in the air flow sensor.

ECU will do the following if one of these fault occur.

As soon as the ECU has detected the fault, the intake pressure and intake air temperature are used as substitute values during the remainder of the driving time. in other words the system will turn into a speed density based system. There is plenty of info about a speed density system on this board, so there isnt really a point for me to re-write it.

So, if you want to toss in a BOV you will need to disconnect your MAF. This will produce CEL, caused by code P0100. Other than that the car will run.

This has been tested on a Viggen and it works!
