Yupp, but we have Garrett GT40 turbo, fully ported heads, mechanical lifters, wild cams, extractor headers so this motor must rev it's guts out to get blow-driver to spin, and OEM pistons are very heavy. They can sustain huge combustion pressures, but being HEAVY they don't like high RPM's. I'm not sure about CR...-93 B234L had 8.5:1 CR, year after CR got bumped up to 9.25:1. I would like some additional headroom...not that i' afraid of pinging, but i believe T5 will just dial back the ignition at boosts we are planing to use, limiting the power.
Local dealer imports Venolia pistons for SAAB's but prices are pretty steep, so i'm checking out if i can import them myself. I want H-profile rods and lightweight forged pistons...question is: who's cheapest? I'll check JE...
Cheers!
P.S.
http://project911.luminasweden.com in case i forgot to mention. Pictures of new made TIG-welded trick extractor split-pulse twin-scroll stainless steel headers with extra cheese coming tommorow! ;-)
