I have two cars that have noticable delay in the throttle closing, my 99 Saab 9-5 and my 2002 Subaru WRX, compared to my 1995 9000 Aero I keep thinking the throttle has stuck open when I drive them briskly. I feel engine bracking is seriously degraded.
