the starion conquest IC is like 2 inches thick by 16X12? Im not pos on the dimencions but you see them on ebay all the time they usualy go for like $150 one of these would be good to a certain point one would cut & reweld the inlet & outlet which I would go ostrait out the bottom thru the plasticrather than cut the tow hooks & there is definatly more room in a post 87 car
what are your HP goals?
your stock IC flows about 120CFM when in reality if trying to make 300 HP at the crank one would need at least 400CFM the volvo/9KICs flow about 200 CFM & the starion mabey a bit more I think like 275CFM
Im going to work on a sidemount kit with the pipes & stuff to fit a tallon IC where the stock one goes which should flow about 280 CFM ofcourse not quite as eficient as a frontmount due to location but a good upgrade none the less
in mu car Im welding together 2 volvo ICs double thick & making custom end tanks it should be a monster :-)
