Good question Dave. I'm not sure. The 19T is a Volvo unit, and you know how different they are anyway, there isn't much of an interchange. As for the internal cartridge, they might be the same, but it might have something to do with the RPM and the exhaust housing/thermal dynamics of it. I know that I have the best turbo resource hands-down here in Charlotte. Even Dave from SPG 9 is using him now. Anyway, he refused to "up-grade" the compressor due to the heat build-up and the lack of any performance improvement,even though he could have and made a little chunk of $money. He showed me the thrust bearings and how no one has made a "good" upgrade for it yet. Actually, he wasn't really a big fan of mitsu turbo quality overall, but what are we gonna do? They work for my application.

I don't know Dave, you know a ton more about turbos than I do, maybe you can find out and post a better answer,I'm just going by my turbo guy here. So far he's been spot on with his information.
