On a T5, the boost that you can achieve is fine for the valves with a decent mixture and the valves are fine with much more agressive mods at much higher pressures. So boost pressure is not an issue for combustion chamber temps or EGTs.

The T5 will manage the mixtures.

The reductions in flow restrictions reduce turbine back pressures and reduce the intake temperatures for any given boost level. So the result is reduced temperatures for any given boost level. And remember that there is less high pressure exhaust gas left in cylinder. That increases the temperature and knocking tendancies. At 15 PSI of boost there will be over * 30PSI of turbine back pressure.

* -which can be higher with a lack of mods to reduce flow restrictions.

So, these engines and their valves survive much higher boost levels than what you get with a T5+BMC. So your only concern is mixture. There are many many trouble free applications out there with different states of mods with the T5+MBC. So what are the temperatures? At what speed and what weather conditions?

So more power does mean more EGT's. But what does that mean. We don't see folks with valve failures. So your own concern would be a worn fuel pump or bad FPR. That could lead to lean burn at the highest fuel flow rates. But we have not seen a report on a T5 with such problems. So you can install a EGT guage and watch that. But the numbers might not really tell you whats safe and whats not. If you installed a AF mix guage, that would indicate a lean problem and would let you avoid any such problem.

With a bad FPR you need luck just to start the engine. With a worn fuel pump, you would see a power wall that would limit vehicle speeds (engine power).

So remember, for the boost levels of this discussion, you can't really go wrong if the mixtures are decent. The T5+MBC will deliver proper mixtures for these pressures. The best way to avoid high temperatures is to have free flowing exhaust and intake. Thats why this is always recommended when increasing boost. The one exception is the ECU mods. You can install on an otherwise stock setup with a K&N or JR and no harm will result. If things go wrong, the ECU+bpc will reduce boost if it has to. With the T5+MBC you need to keep things properly maintained and run good fuel.
