Hello all , My name is Eric and fairly new to the performance bug. I've had quite a few Turbocharged Saabs and I'm quite familiar with the basic mods. If you guys (and ladies) could possbily anwser a few questions for me that would be great . Right now I'm the proud owner of 87 9kt with the following done to it.
87 9kt head
shaved 30 thous.
intake and exhaust match ported to B212 gaskets
stock cams , stock internals , stock head gasket
stock 2 piece intake , match ported
stock exhaust manifold , match ported (head and turbo)
87 9kt block
.040 Mahle pistons and rings
stock rods and crank
balanced
Swedish Dynamics T3/T4 with 57trim (dont have anymore info)
exhaust housing match ported to manifold
stock wastegate
APC removed
Abbott MBC
stock LH system
2.5 or 3.0 bar regulator
Swed Dyna RRFPR
stock , 91-92 9kt(all black) ,93 cse (blue line) or 94-98cse (red top)injectors
stock ignition (wires,dist,cap and rotor)
plugs are NGK BCPR6ES
open K&N air filter
3"JT downpipe
93-98 flex pipe
87 center muffler
APEXI N1 Universal 2.5"inlet rear muffler
Right now the setup that is installed is the 2.5bar with the 91-92kt injectors and the RRFPR.
Ok my questions are , what is needed to run the bigger injectors correctly?
I've read people using 30lb and 27lb injectors in there C900.
What is the AMM mod? Is this needed for the bigger injectors?
The problem I'm having is , the car runs either to lean (predetenation)
or to rich (boggs and falls flat on its face) . The Air/Fuel ratio gauge always reads rich even with predetenation. Now I've been told because of the head being shaved so much that VP C12 is needed. 6 bucks a gallon, I'll start over with a new head.
Now I have tried ever combo of fuel pressure and injectors that I have listed and I can't it right or even close.
I understand that ignition could be playing a roll in this problem also.
I see that alot of you are running 7ES and 7EV . If you could tell me , NGK plugs run hotter with lower #s or higher #s.
Well I'm getting typers cramp , I appreciate all of you who have read this far. I'm sure there is gonna be some more info that you will need to give an opinion. Right now I can't think of any. So if you can anwser any of these questions I would be very greatfull.Thank you.
