Hi JTSAAB,
I researched this problem for a very long time before i decided to keep the wheels and use them on my car.
The wheels were offered to me at a dirt cheap price, and i knew they at least had the same bolt pattern... I was willing to take a gamble at wether the offset would be correct...
So i bought them knowing they might not work, but they'd look BAD-A$$ if they do
anyways...
they have a +38 offset... and i was told that i'll need an 8mm spacer and slightly longer lugbolts to correct the offset problem...
however I was assured by several people on this board and otherwise, who tell me that with an 8mm spacer it does NOT have to be hubcentric, only spacers 15mm and up need to remain hubcentric.
If you know something that these people don't know, and you've ACTUALLY TRIED not using hubcentric spacers and ran into a problem, then by all means LET ME KNOW.
The people i got this information from HAVE done this before and it's worked fine for them. as long as they got longer lug bolts...
which i have...
Taliaferro Saab can get me these spacers you are talking about... but they have to order them from sweden, and the shipping and waiting and money and garbage... i'd rather go with everyones advice and try these first.
I'm having them professionally installed at a goodyear/gemini store with goodyear F1 GS D3 225/45/17 tires mounted on them... so...
i think they'd let me know if anything was "unsafe"
i hope this raises your confidence in my wheel spacing abilities...
