I run the Scanwest 3" (JT3" with 3" cat). The noise is subdued with the dual silencers. I went from OEM to the 3" with 2.5", then replaced the cat with a catco unit. Progressively, the high-end performance improved. Once I get my hands dirty with other R/R's, the improvement should be very evident. Beware of ground clearance, if you have modified suspension. Am I glad I got it? Yes. Here in the pacific Northwest, anti-corrosion is not that big of an issue, if you run the motor long and hard enough to keep moisture build-up. Salt is not an issue - otherwise a SS unit would understandably be a viable option.
If you get the dual muffler 3", make sure to shorten the rear muffler hanger by an inch to suck it up closer to the body. The
