One way one could do this "cheap" Is this. You would have to find a can that is the right size (bigger than filter). I'm sure if you look it would be no prob. The can would have to have an opening (neck) around 3 inches or so which is the same size as the outlet of the AMM. Now what you would do is cut a section (on one side) of the can out that connotates to the size of your filter, leaving the neck in place. There would be enough of the can left that would be the shield. Slip air filter in. Now add a piece of 3 inch rubber, silicone hose to neck of can and attach to other side to amm. Now that I really think about it, a better way would be to cut the neck of the can, create a hole where neck use to be (3"), slip filter neck through hole, connect to amm. Paint can whatever color you want. You now have a shield on one side and it's open on the other. If you did this right, made nice cuts, used a good quality can, it would look great.
Heck, I might give it a try.
