just curious as to the difference. when i replaced the one with the '1', the start was not as spirited. i think my coil is the cause and will find out today.
my symptoms involve leaning of fuel mixture as a result of lower battery voltage (at least it appeared that way). so, i cranked up the voltage compensation on the fuel system and it did not correct the issue. i have also had similar issues where a malfunctioning ignition system has registered as a lean fuel mixture. it happened when my spark plug wires were bad. any hall sensor issues would register as signal errors on my ems and i would be able to easily identify them. the only other ignition component i have not tried was the ignition coil i replaced about 2 years ago when mine failed on the road from boston to maryland just over the new york line. i replaced it with a cheaped aftermarket version and wonder if it is causing the issues.
otherwise, i have gone through the wiring harness and soldered all connections (replacing butt connectors), but still need to look at the diodes in the harness (aic valve, boost valve, and tps) before ruling them out. however, my thoughts point me to the coil.
i'll post later on the results.
