bleeder valve Posted by ryan [Email] ![]() ![]() |
I have a 92 9k turbo am wondering what anyone out there thinks about installing a bleeder valve in the wastegate actuator vacume line. I have already had it like this before and sh*t it is faster than all hell. I am wondering if this is a safe mod. the car has a group 6(what happened to those guys?) chip in it and the wastegate actuator rod is as tight as it will go. the bleeder valve alows for more boost. if i were running too much boost do you think that the APC would limit it trying to keep the correct air/fuel ratio so the engine does not burn up? I drove the car with this mod on it for about a year and then the turbo blew in what I am pretty sure was an unrelated incedent. I tried to order a blue series turbo from swedish dynamics but they screwed that up somehow and sent the way wrong turbo. i needed the car for a trip and replaced it with a stock turbo which would require the bleeder valve to give me back the original, amazing power. i know this is really long but i would really like to play it safe as turbo's are not the cheapest thing out there and i would hate to blow another.
