One project you could consider is making a larger air input pipe (snorkle pipe) to the stock air filter box. If you think about it, the stock filter has large surface area so the biggest restriction is probably the flow of air into the box. You could cut a larger hole in the side of the box and rivet or epoxy a bigger connection piece to it. OR maybe a second intake pipe on the forward side of filter box that flattens out enough to squeeze beside the intercooler to get more air in. That would be great because you'd have air being forced in at speed. Either one would require cutting the stock plastic filter box but they're a dime a dozen at junkyards. Another project that would be nice is to form a composite scoop to mount below the front bumper to force air into the intercooler area. Basically, a box that conforms to the shape of the lower front bumper. Do you use pro-e?
