I have bilsteins (not sure which model) and intrax on my 88 900T. I put them in at the same time, so I can't be sure which item had which effect. The combination keeps things more predictable cornering, braking, cornering while braking, going to and from oversteer/understeer, etc.. The stiffness and the predictable damping are much better suited to enthusiastic driving than stock parts. I installed the rear shocks and springs and had the dealer install the fronts. Comfort is reduced with this combination, but fun is increased.
I convinced a friend to replace the worn out shocks in his '91 BMW 325 with bilsteins. (He did not change springs) Ride comfort is no worse. The car is more predictable in body roll situations and going around corners. He was very pleased. They should last for quite a while too.
