boost taper is built into your APC but even if you ran a 12 LB WG actuator you would get a bit of spike & fallback
at stock power levels this works out great for passing on the highway & whatnot this was designed in to increase torque & still maintain the 160HP & keep longevity (I believe)
at higher boost levels spike & falback is bad because the spike heats everything up & by the time you are making good power heat is causing detonation so when running say 18 LBS boost idealy you wouldent want a 22 LB spike as this would set up the detonation cycle I mentioned erlyer
if you want to eliminate or reduce "taper" you will ned to get a pro modded APC or eliminate it al together
but before you get into that think about fuel & timing
is yur car stock?
you can put on a 3barfpr,tweak your APC & do the dist mod & get a substancial seat of the pants power increase for like $50
you take care
