you are unable to get a larger turbine housing so you want to clip the turbine wheel? corect?
this will increase flow but you will have to wait for boost as if you ran a bigger turbine housing (yes the wheel becomes lighter but more exhaust bypasses it) it dosent work out to less lag or the same lag no matter what they say you will wait a bit longer for boost
I dont mind this at all I hope you all know how I feel about "lag" & that without a turbo there would be no huge surge of power so the car would lag the whole way thru the "power range" so a bigger turbo means that if you want instant boost dont let the RPMS below 3400:-)& WHAM boost will be rite there:-) so you just change your driving habits a bit :-)
back to the turbo clipping & stuff it would be a cool thing to research the changes in CFM cliping a certain amount verses a change in turbine housing size for the larger?
I have no friggin idea
my turbo guy hates clipping turbine wheels & I run a garret so I can get turbine housings so big I wouldent make boost at all:-) so I dont have to wory about that
