so today I spent from 8:00 AM till 6:30 PM working only on finishing the chip for the volvo setup in my SPG
there were a few bugs I had to work out
I have done it & what I mean by it is that Ive taken a crude system with bizarre programming methods & gotten verry stable WOT air fuel ratios while under full boost & good stoich part throttle opeation
allot of what has taken me so damm long is that I have to fix cars mostly than here & there burn a chip log data make a change or 2 & repeat
the chip I had in the SPG at terrys had a bit of a lean spot so I started off today with a poor map & got it to between 11.5:1-12.0:1 solid thru the high boost area it just took concentrating on that only the car is running realy well now :-)
Ive learned allot about this system & still need a couple of elements to master it & make tuning easier
what Ive learned doing this will make fufure projects much quicker Im sure
I wish I could get a good pic up of the logged data it is impressive but I have the LM1 software on an older computer networked to this one & cant seem to figure out how to print thru this computer
there is a man in colorado that will be happy to hear this :-)
well just wanted to share my sucsess
take care
JAK
PS Im having trouble keeping oil in, the dist O ring which is new seems to leak under hard braking after a 3rd gear WOT pull & is leaving allot of oil on the manifold & on top of the turbo drain tube & side of the trans Ill have to figure this out because its annoying anyone else have this problem?
