Joe,
Hope all's well!
You could do some research from this BB for this cylinder head conversion as it may provide some ample improvement to the 900 turbo engine performance.
All 2.1 liter cylinder heads and 2.3 liter 1991-1993 9000 cylinder heads are identical and will allow for direct installation into your OG900. The best flow for the SAAB factory cylinder head would come from use of either 2.3/2.1 liter versions but the increased intake port size will slow intake velocities which will diminish off boost engine performance and turbocharger spool/response.
If planning to modify, we have found that the 2.0 liter cylinder head will provide the best platform and have the most flow potential as an end result. We have upgraded many 2.3 liter 9000 turbo applications to the 2.0 liter modified cylinder heads for optimal flow and performance and you can send us an Email for port photos and flow data.
Best of luck with your project and best regards to you!,
